Your Website Needs Better Photos

When we first founded Particles Collide, we understood that there would be some element of our “Design” efforts on each project devoted to curating and creating awesome imagery. Photography is part of that process because everything online is tied to user’s visual engagement level, so good imagery is key. Every branding project is about your brand. Whether it’s a website redesign, a logo/identity design, a simple brochure or rack card, or a completely new brand just getting off the ground – you need quality imagery. You can’t expect to connect with your audience unless you put forth the genuine face of your company. People want to see YOU. Photos should be an integral part of your content strategy. The images you create or post should be just as carefully selected or crafted as the words you write. As they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words”.

It’s no surprise then that every website project we’ve worked on has included a discussion about gathering imagery. It’s typically one of the elements people don’t anticipate, but it’s always something they appreciate. Everyone has low-resolution images, taken with an old camera, or worse a cellphone. And anyone can have stock photography, the generic kind you find on other websites, or plastered on the side of a garbage truck (no, really!). We aren’t satisfied sending your website off into the world with mediocre imagery, and you shouldn’t be okay with this either! You can guarantee that your customers will notice the difference and will put added faith in your brand when your photos are genuine and engaging.

We’ve provided commercial photography services for many projects. We’ve been to offices, campuses, factories, gyms – wherever our clients are making/building/doing. We’ve received big boxes of their products and we’ve been up close and personal with their staff. Needless to say, we’ve taken a LOT of photos.
